Paris is an insane place to go, I don't think I could be there less than a month next time to see all that I want. We
were already scheduled to be in Rome for a month so the quick Paris
weekend was literally to celebrate our oldest daughter's Birthday (lucky
kid right?)
We took a train from Binsfield Germany and arrived in Paris at Gare du Nord around noon. We were able to walk to our hotel it was literally 5 blocks or so away from train station. In the rain of course, but not gonna be sad about rain when I'm in Paris. We checked into our room, grabbed lunch at a bakery under our hotel and were on our way to see the sights. We
had the 2 days technically and so it was literally go time when we got there. We did not have a crisper in our room so we did not do our normal grocery run when we settled. We just grabbed some jackets and were on our adventure.
What 2 days in Paris looked like for us.

Plane in AM. to Milan Italy!
Like I mentioned it was a whirlwind, we walked and looked and ate and the things that we wanted to accomplish was my daughter seeing the Eiffel tower, getting her own French Beret (what she wanted for her birthday) and she wanted to ride the carousel at the bottom of the Eiffel tower as well as have a real french Macaroon for her birthday treat. The rest was icing on the cake, or macaroon to be more exact.
The hours we spent in the Paris Metro getting lost and carrying our stroller up and down metro stairs was worth every second. Luckily for us the Trains were extremely entertaining, people and musicians and you know I was in heaven with all the french flying around. If you are Paris for such a short time this is the stuff to see to make you salivate for more. I am so excited to go back, and spend time really exploring. Below are our favorite things we saw.
Our adorable hotel from the street. Pretty much every Hotel in the 10 th
arrondissement! Paris is divided up into to 20 arrondissements and we stayed in the 10th. Which was walking distance from Train station, as well as walking distance to metro that took us to airport the morning we left to go to Milan. We could get to every attraction with the metro spending about 8 euro per train trip.

This is the cutie library we passed walking to our hotel, we had to circle back and explore it!
Bibliothèque de forney
1 Rue du Figuier, 75004 Paris
Norte dame
6 Parvis Notre-Dame - Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris,
Macrche bastille
8 Boulevard Richard Lenoir, 75011 Paris
Yup that happened, and I lost my mind about it mind you. Tears, squeals, and dancing!
And she got her French Beret
The rain didn't get us down.... This is still remarkable to see, when you get out of the metro and walk down the street you pass a building and then all the sudden there is this. It's just such an amazing thing in the middle of a city. And to be able to see it from our room and then to stand near it makes you realize how large it is.
Eiffel Tower
Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris
Miss Bryten and her sister Daphne on the carousel. One of her Birthday wishes coming true...
Sisters at the park near the Eiffel tower. Bryten, Daphne and Miss Orli Bloom.
Making our Metro rides amazing, these are the charmers that serenaded us.
Their name is TALES and they are absolutely amazing.
Arc de Triomphe
Place Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris
We got our official French Macarons. Mommy and girls happy!
The story of the Ladurée macaron starts in the middle of the 20th
century with Pierre Desfontaines, who first thought of taking two
macaron shells
and joining them with a delicious ganache filling. The recipe has not
changed since.
Laduree Paris
If you want a taste of Paris you can always order!
This was Bryten's very large Macaron for her birthday wish!
The area surrounding the Louvre is an amazing sight if you are into just beautiful old architecture like myself. All I wanted to do is stop and stare and take pictures of doors.
The Louvre
Housing of course the Mona Lisa among many other greats. Once the girls are older we will embark on that adventure, I was not feeling like chasing a teething not even 2 year old around. I picked my battles on this small little trip. The two other girls were just as in awe as me of the beautiful cathedrals and buildings so we were good.
Our trip was so fast, but did not feel frantic. We really did just walk and look and eat. We did not have plans or tours or time lines. Which made it a very relaxing whirlwind if that even exists. I would say to someone who asks to be there at least 2 weeks to see it all. Getting an apartment on sublet.com like we did in Rome is the way I would do it next time. To stay a whole month I would probably see what I missed this time around. So that will be something I save my laundry money for one day.
My post of course on the PARIS ER visit will come soon, not a scary weird post. Just a be aware post that I feel travelers with kiddos should read.
We were staying in Paris,
I love that song and whenever I hear it I think of our time there....
Tread Lightly!
