Greenery Obsessed

Since selling nearly everything in our 3 bedroom home in Davis and chasing a European dream we have landed back in CA with pretty much nothing household items wise.  The last 6 months I have literally bought one chair from Craigslist for $10 that I reupholstered it super wacky.  We have made a free vintage metal file cabinet our dresser and instead of waiting around to find the perfect wooden book storage like I had before (rest in peace my beautiful antique armoire) I got the cheap metal garage shelves to stack books on.  I don't know why  I haven't really tried to settle here.  I just haven't cared much about accruing more stuff again.  One thing I promised myself when we sold everything is that I will never have that many possessions again.  And I have sort of adhered to that, except I still love my books, plants and kitchen gadgets.  And it's just not going to change although I really wanted it to.  I still can't walk by a library book sale cart and not buy a .50 book or a $5 plant.  Sorry no self control with that, but hey I don't have any other spendy vices so I guess I get my kicks somewhere else.

For my bed I bought a mattress and a frame that I could have lots of storage under.  I found this from Amazon
My idea was to make a headboard, the one I had been drooling over for awhile.  Of course a Pinterest find.
Dream Headboard

But it just hasn't happened yet.  It is simple enough but for some reason I have this nagging don't get comfortable voice in my head.  So since I'm having a plant life addiction, making garlands of flowers and also hanging other silly things like my hats or my weaving projects.   Here is my newest no headboard fix.

Pretty much my neighbors might hate me, whenever we walk home from the park the amounts of eucalyptus I snag is boarderline obnoxious.  But it's hanging over the fence and either I dunk or get smacked in the head with it or I pick it, so I am hoping I'm being seen as a good semaritain instead of a Greenery theif.

Just a little decor love,
I'm sharing if you are someone like me that just can't commit to one look or theme for our homes.  Headboards feel so final, and I like having fun right now.  I'm not looking for a headboard relationship, ya know playing the field.  But my dream book headboard will be mine once I'm ready to settle down.

Go foraging and make some cuties,
Tread lightly
