A Touch Of Home and Some Good Folks and Jams

We recently visited Binsfeld Germany, a village that butts up to one of the many US military bases in Germany.  Donny's hometown pals The Rippee's live there and were nice enough to take us in, 3 kids and all, for almost a whole week.  While there we got to see Castles, Abbeys and walk to the local bakery to get some yummy German delights.  We also got pretty spoiled by Wendy....   She fed us amazing cooking, and her Man Garet had us in giggles....  It actually felt like a vacation which this trip has not felt like as of yet (due to the fact that we have 3 little crazies always around us). Your hospitality is amazing Rippee Family and we thank you.❤️❤️❤️

One night they had already had an evening planned for themselves to go listen to music on base and had child care.  So we tagged along (which was amazing but nerve wrecking since I've never used a sitter).  My kids have been watched by family only and I can count on both hands how many times.  Not that I've never wanted to have a sitter I just never got around to it mind you.

Since I'm a live music buff, I was a little skeptical.  But I decided to give it a go because, well, if the music was crumby I would at least have rad people to hang out with.

Well boy was I ever in for a treat.  The moment I walked in the (on-base) bar/nightclub there was a totally amazing vocalist that night named Kyle Demarco.  Kylie is a good friend to Donny's pals the Rippee family.  He is in a band but was doing a solo gig and let me just tell you the cheese can stand alone.   From his arrangements, to guitar skills, to his voice...  They were all on point!  He was playing covers ranging from Justin Timberlake to Beck.

I immediately thought to myself this dude needs to go on The Voice.  I meddled and asked lots of questions and to my surprise he was super humble and gracious.  He gave me his band information and so of course being who I am... I have to share:

His band is the muddy creek kids.  http://youtu.be/7vWhgNMcMKU

Here are a few of the videos I got.  A few are dark because it got darker and my granola technology game is poor. But you can hear the music at least (we'll sort of, folks were chatty that night, so I hope you can hear the goodness) p.s. Nothing bugs more than when people talk the whole time they are supposed to be listening to music...  Just saying......  It bugs people who are listening to music annnnnnd it can't feel good for a performer to watch people talk while you are pouring your heart and soul out and letting yourself be so vulnerable.  Performing takes sooooo much courage that I know I don't have..  (Sorry just a little music buffs etiquette tid bit, I am a wife to a very active musician and just like to support and give respect to them for their craft).

I just want to close by saying if you are in this part of Germany keep your eyes out for gigs by these kids, and he will be coming back to the US in a year or so!  He has the voice of an angel and his musicality is very exciting.

Standby for more videos and images my internet is really slow in Italy.
