I can't say I have been a fan particularly of hearts in life. But for some reason hearts and flowers are all I want to decorate with this spring. I've been lucky lately to find some fun hearts at my local antique store. The galvanized one was a cutie my mom got us for our 10 year anniversary (I can't believe I've been married 10 years) and the heart highlighted in this post is another we found at same shop in our little town. The heart is made out of wine barrel trim. So simple and I love it. But since I can't stop with the flowers I decided to spruce it up, I'm already thinking of things to put on it during the Fall and Holidays because I'm that girl.
To spring out my heart I used dollar store twine and dollar store small craft clothes pins with some baby's breath. I'm not going into the how to because that's silly, you literally just tie twine across and place flowers wherever ya want. Here are some images of our new heart loves. And of course our flower garland obsession.
My cutie spruced up.
These are at any craft store, but they are also at the dollar store so I'll always opt for a $2 craft.
Go to your local florist and you can snag a whole lot of this whimsy flowers. My florist will sell a whole bunch wholesale for $13. That literally makes an insane amount of garlands and fills all our vases and the flowers stay beautiful in vases for more than a month. Garlands of course stay pretty for about 3 months before they start needing a face lift. A great splurge in my opinion.
These little cuties are getting easier to find. This is the link to find one.

And I literally can't stop making these!
Hearts and flowers, possibly on my
Mind and heart for hopes of blooming love, or blooming life.
Tread lightly,
Mel
