Lemon Healing

It is officially lemon season at the Jones homestead.  We are moving out of our house the end of next month so I'm taking advantage of all my lemons now.  And I'll be picking a bunch to take with me of course.  Included in this post is some of my lemon remedies to start your new year off right.

First things first let's talk face..........

Raise your hand if you are now struggling with sun spots brought on from your sun worshiping youth!  Hand raised over here.  I have a few spots at my hair line that drive me nuts.  I found a similar recipe to this one in my herbalist module, I re vamped to make it my own and have been using it the last year with wonderful results.  It certainly lightens spots, and with such simple ingredients why not give it a whirl.

•Sun Spot Eliminator•

1 tbs lemon juice
1 tbs honey
1tbs soy milk

Mix together and apply to face, leave for 25 minutes do this 3x a week and within 6-8 weeks sun spots will be lighter!

Now on to body....

If you drink this daily for a month and only splurge on coffee once a week you will see Fab results in your skin, nails, hair, and your waistline.
•Lemon Honey Tea•for DETOX and weight loss.

Boil some water and let it cool a little in a mug.  Add fresh juice of half a lemon (beginners can start with a smaller dose of a quarter of a lemon). For best results, use 1/2 lemon sliced and put right in mug.  This is a little pulpy but it's my fave....  Mix in raw, organic, unpasteurized honey (you can experiment with different flavors). Add the honey after the water has cooled down as the heat will destroy the nutrients in the honey.

This is An amazing healing elixir.  If you are feeling achy or a head cold coming on drinking this throughout the day will rid you of what ills you with the quickness.

•Lemon Ginger Tea•
2 inches of ginger sliced with skin on
2 lemons sliced with skin on
2tbs raw honey if desired....

In a small stock pot add 32 oz of water sliced lemons, ginger and bring to a boil.  Once boiling turn down to low for 15 minutes.   Strain into a tea pot and enjoy with honey if desired.

Lemons are used daily in our household.  They are a very useful gift from Mother Nature.

Tread lightly,
🌻Mel
